If you know plz inform me for this doubt: In which relegion the people are converting their faith more now a days? and to which relegion?
if any have statistical reports, plz add here....
I'd say that most people in Australia have SOME idea of what Islam is like, but admittedly a lot of them view it as a religion for terrorists and nut cases. I'd say that athiest is one of the fastest growing belief systems myself, more and more people (At least where I live) are starting to notice the huge holes in the major religions.
Most people in Australia don't actually seriously follow religion. Only 15% or so put down athiest/no religion in the census (sp?), but I really suspect that a LOT of people that put down Christian/Catholic etc are doing so for cultural reasons/tradition, without actually thinking about. I really get the sense that most people here just don't give a crap about religion.
I've only ever encountered one fundamental christian, and I ended having an argument about religion on my doorstep with him, he ended up excusing himself and made a quick escape.

Muslims in lebanon don't like the christains their very much and we don't like them that much either. (hence teh lebanese civil war).
As a faith the pricnciples of islam are very good; equality before god, etc...
but as darthy stated above women are treated like second class citizens in most cases and even as slaves.
I have seen women who come dressed ocmpletly in back and there is a small slit the width of a pencil for them to see through. Seems a bit backward to me but this is more a cultural thing the religous.
The Qu'ran (koran) has been misinterprited by some people. which does not surprise me as teh arabic used in it is almost cryptic.
I have met on a daily basis with many muslims while i was in lebanon. Most are very nice and others have no maners and paligamists, that beleive ifyour not a muslim youhsould burn in hell.
All in all though it is a good religion; just as all teh other monothesisms are.

I can't say i'm a huge fan of Islam (Mainly due to how they treat women, and the way in which a lot of Islamic clerics seem to think that islamic states are a good idea), but then again, i'm not a huge fan of religion full stop, so it isn't exactly Islam alone that i dislike.
eh?
1. What clergy? There is no organized clergy in Islam - 'clergy' are self-annoited in their claims.
2. How are woman treated badly? [separate the religion from the culture]

Thats the culture dictating, not the religion

I don't know how much Islam is misunderstood religion..but I think it is one the most misused religions. If I remember right, there is no mention in any book that you need to treat womans like Darthty said, this really isn't 1400.
But I can also remember wrong..

Don't forget culture is usually derived from geographic location and religion. I know there are muslims in India and africa who are free to show there arms and ancles.

but is the 'holy war' , connected with terrorism, dictated only by religion or is it in a way the culture's fault..
it may be the same issue, as with the women. many of you thought, that the way they treat women is because of religion..DryFire explained - it's a cultural thing..

To clarify on that too, Jihad itself means 'struggle against opression'. Holy war [what makes it holy?
] is a byproduct, but it is not Jihad itself. Taking political or social routes instead of a violent path is preferred in Jihad.
Furthermore, the religion STRICTLY states that if in war, children, women, the elderly, and buildings are not to be touched.
Its a religion about peace and modesty ::chinese:
