Scrolling image header -- help needed

I have never done anything in Flash before and I would like to create a banner for my website with a scrolling image. What I have is a cityscape image taller than the header so that it can scroll down, e.g. starts in the sky and scrolls down to the street. Also when the image has finished scrolling down I would like text to flicker on, and then stay on. Just need this to happen once, any help much appreciated!

+Using Flash MX

Since you've never did anything in Flash, at the bottom of your screen in Flash MX, there's the tab "Actions - Frame." Click on that. Put "stop();" on the last frame of your movie.
(Actions > Movie Control > stop)
