A modest suggestion to all
Of late, theres been a lot of heated debates on politics, which is understandable - the world is in trying times. However, there has also been numerous instances of "country bashing" which has offended members, and has raised concerns from both staff and members. This is a forum where issues that effect and concern everyone is raised, and the line between criticism and bashing becomes blurry. It is hard to defiently tell when one crosses the line. I ask one thing, have one suggestion: if you are going to participate in debates, please excercise all the maturity you have. Do not let your emotions mix with your responses - to be honest, this isn't the place for that. Reread posts and check if they'll offend someone.
I'm not saying don't debate, and everyone who participates knows that they may be offended at one point. Its the nature of the beast. However, if you ARE offended, don't flame the member or respond with simply 'STFU'. Disagree and support your conclusions with reasons.
Also, do not take things to personally - don't reply right away if you're mad. Act mature, and treat otherwises like you would yourself, and everyone will be content.
Thanks,
Phil

. However, when you are offended, as Phil suggested, cool off for a bit before you post. I really don't want to have to resort to warning points for anything. Thats no fun.
