Looking for a programmer to collaborate with on winamp skin!

Hello,
I?m looking for someone interested in creating a Winamp skin with me. I?ve always wanted to make one but I lack the skill needed to do the programming. I?m a seasoned graphics and interface designer so the task should be a rather easy one. I?d like to collaborate with a programmer who has good communication skills, excellent time management skills, free time, and the ability to become dedicated to the project.
I?ll need instructions on how to specifically design the skin so that it can be programmed and implemented into the program seamlessly without any errors. I?ve already begun working on the basic structure (framework) of what the skin will look like. It?s a unique shape so it will require the ability to be transparent.

More details may be furnished upon request. For anyone who?s interested, email mason@masongalindo.com or IM masongalindo on AIM.

y0 i believe all u neeed to do is edit the base skin (no programming unless u want to go from scratch and do those really cool ones) and if you go to Skins on the winamp site and go to Make Your Own it's a tut

Yea, I'm afraid this skin is going to require a little more than just editing. Oneos, I was told that Winamp 5 utilizes Winamp 3 skinning system and Winamp 2's core (hence it's number). I?m attached to this post a preview of what I?ve got so far. I?ve been working on it for two days and it?s FAR from complete. I realize now that there are possible usability issues because of it?s shape, but I?ve decided to continue it?s development and simply limit it?s functions.

If you?re still interested in helping out Oneos, let me know.

Thanks guys!

I'm pretty much in the same boat as you, though you might check out http://frisbeemonkey.com//winamp3/tutorial/index.php

I plan on giving it a run through tonight...

My adivce would be to create a simpler skin and work on a few basics first and then build up from that if you want to learn how to program skins. I have what will soon be a complex skin but I'm gonna start with something simpler myself.

-Good luck
