I tend to get the "Classics" out for lan parties. Brood War, and Diablo 2 LOD end up with alot of gameplay. Worms World Party also tends to be pretty popular around here for lan. For the console, Halo online is all we play. We are still trying to figure out the physisc on how people get a headshot with the pistol on you from across the board when you and a teammate standing on your shoulders would fit inside the "little zoom circle."

halo for xbox is my favorite kind of lan. then counter-strike, then unreal tourney.

Dont forget the strategy games! i think ,especially for smaller LANS, Strategy games are awesome because you dont need that many people. a FFA with 4 players in hlaflife gets old after 3-4 hours, but a single 2vs2 in starcraft or Rise of nations can alone take 2-3 hours. In the long run they are more entertaining!

What about TFC and Train Hunters? Those are fast paced and WICKED fun to play at LANS. DoD is also real fun for big LANs, CS isn't really that fun though, but The Specialist is wicked great. And if your really tired, go play some Ricochet.

lol i played ricochet for a bit. it was fun but it got kinda boring after a day.
