Possible to mickey mouse tablet mouse controls?

I have a cheap, introductory, (or some might say crappy) JamStudio drawing tablet.. I bought it just for kicks, not because I'm a serious artist.

However, although it works in some fashion, it's not very good with the amount of configuration.

My problem is that for the button on the stylus, there are only 3 options to set it as: Off, left-button double click, and right click.

This CERTAINLY does not make a good choice for a drawing tablet because in any program you must constantly hold down the left mouse button to activate your tool.... so there is no way to really use the stylus as a drawing pen!! There's no left button!!

Does anyone know how to resolve this? Possibly a way to modify how the stylus works (although that may require writing a new driver for it, which I'm not capable of doing), or some kind of alternate way to get this working?

Also, if anyone has personal experience with this tablet, do your pressure levels work? The one or two times I attempted to use this in Photoshop there were no pressure levels, it was all one solid level of "ink".
