I was converting to Judaism at one point in time, and I can assure you, Yahweh is not Jewish. It's an inacurate translation of a word in Hebrew that cannot be pronounced as there are no vowel points in the word. But, translated, there's one word and that is God. Look in almost any (english) translated Jewish prayer book, and it will say things like "Blessed are you, oh Lord our God..." etc.

Once again, agnostic means basically that you do not believe there is enough proof one way or another for you to say whether or not there is a god.

Ummmmm the jewish called God Yahweh along with Lord and God.

Also if you think saying "One nation, under God" is pushing religion on you, you are SO STUPID. I can't help you if you say this isnt right yet sing and put stuff like "God Bless America" on yer car. If you don't then... Our founding fathers were Christians, like it or not. You don't want to live with that? Move to India, Saudi Arabia, or almost any african country. Cuz even if yer an atheist, they'll shoot you anyway cuz America = christian country and you = American.

Also, that 20% thing. You dont see "Allah bless America" or "Confuscious, bless america" or "Ra, bless America" or "Satan, bless America" (yeah sure)

The thing is, most kids don't know what the pledge means because they aren't taught what it means, so this is an adult thing... (Or at least something for those in 6th grade on up who hopefully have some brains left after being brainwashed in our public schools.)

About the Rush Limbaugh statement... it was never meant to be about Rush Limbaugh, I said A RADIO TALK SHOW HOST, RUSH LIMBAUGH AS AN EXAMPLE. It can apply to all of them. You could even apply my statement to a TV talk show host, a pastor, or even the President himself. The statement is meaningful, the right to free speech proves it. Just because you hear someone say something doesn't mean you have to believe it. Just because you say something doesn't mean you have to believe it. Just because you see something doesn't mean you have to believe it.

Akdov, I know you never mentioned "atheist" in your messages, but you applied it for me perfectly... Webster's New World Dictionary proves it:

atheist - A person who believes there is no God.

Also look at The American Heritage Dictionary:

atheist - One who denies the existence of God.

Notice how God is capitalized in both Dictionaries. Your entire point just went down the drain, anyone who doesn't believe in God is an atheist, plain and simple!
