cutting an image into multiple sections

how can i cut up an image into rectangles and squares to put in tables of a website for easier loading?

just use the selection tool (rectangle) without antialias, and pay attention to the coordinates at the bottom left of the status bar.

yes but i REALLY hate PSP's image slicer i use a freelance progg called "splitz" and i LOVE it.. hehe goto download.com type in splitz if ur interested.. its a great progg i think and its little and simple to use.. PSP's seems to being my images quality to a minimum even after i adjust

try using macromedia's dreamweaver to, although its a heavy cost lol, its good!

Dreamweaver is definitely worth the cost though... and besides, if you have a student id, you can get it for the academic price and it is almost half price. anyway, for slicing I just do it manually and then I can make certain ones GIFs with transparent colors and others JPGs and whatnot. You just have to read the coordinates at the bottom when you are making selections. I will check out that program though; maybe it will help.
