...just covering the costs that are already involved.... if the programmer eats a little on the first job.... they can expect a lot more work to be contracted at a later date with less deadline and greater profit....
I know programmers are backed up into the next century with loads of work...LOL... but only the person who got this job will know how profitable it really is...

wow! look at the wide diversification in offers.... as with any good business, one should never take for granted the resources that allow him gain greater profit... this is but one forum of 10 i have posted on.... imagine if i posted on 100 boards or more! would the number stay the same? is everybody a full timer or a part timer? does the man who, at one point, will own the company start in the mail room even though he is smarter than the owner? what is your worth and contribution to a project in comparison to how you weigh the value of your services?....

if you want it done right, and done well, by a professional that has worked on a project similar to what you want done then go with that. its just that simple. dont get drawn in by a low price from some cookie-cutter template maker with some low ball price, remember you get what you pay for.
