REAL Punk Vs. Emo
Hey, first of all i have to say to all of the REAL punks out there please put your input in. This is about what genre is better. :Cough: Punk :Cough:. But anyways, it's basically an argument of how real punk is better than emo. But if your emo you can type your input in but make sure not to cry on the keyboard it might shock you. But who would care anyways another emo band would just make a song about you and cry about it. The cycle will just keep going on and on.

Punk isnt better than emo. Emo isnt better than pop. Rock isnt better than metal. Nothing isnt better than anything. All in the taste of the listener. You may LIKE punk more than emo, as do I, but that doesnt mean it's better.

no, punk is better than emo and metal is better than rock, thats all there is to that.
this also can depend on your definition of punk, if you call bands like blink 182, sum 41, and good charolte punk than you need to give yourself a shotgun facelift. punk isnt bands that always sing about teen agnst and how they're in love, its bands that have a point to their music.

I agree with GoM on this one. You may like a type of music better than another, but suprise suprise, the world doesnt revolve around you. I used to like punk a lot more than emo, but now its about even. Although, I listen to so many different bands its hard to say who fits into which genre sometimes.

how about we dive out of the genre music and how about you stop stereotyping people by what music they listen to. I listen to everything from pop-rock to punk to acoustic to metal to emo to math rock. And I even like that new outkast song. I think you guys should get off your genre high horse and learn to live with the fact that people like different kinds of music. Just because you don't like a band doesn't mean that they suck. I mean don't get me wrong. Some band do suck, but if they are signed and they are selling records, then there is a reason for it, and whatever it may be they probably deserve it. Except Avril because she's nothing but a puppet. I guess you could say excluding the pop culture that is run by the labels and fed lines. The people who are writing their music, be it fallout boy, or new found glory, or blink 182 even. There is no more punk really. I still vision punk as the ramones, misfits, op ivy, and stuff similar to that, but what I would call pop-punk is slowly taking on the word punk. Anywho, it's a never ending battle, and you have no right to tell someone they can't post. You should honestly grow up and as the others said, get out of your box. You seem to be one of those people that can't like certain things because it doesn't fit in with the rest of the stuff they listen to, or it's too popular, or this kid that I don't want to associate myself with is listening to it. I am not a big fan of rap, and for the most part I think it's horrid, but there are a few songs out there that I can listen to. So yea, open your minds, get off the high horse, and stop thinking you're enlightened or some crap as to what punk is and what "real" music is... or whatever it is that you think you believe.

I Agree on that too... music is not a fashion... fashion somtimes is how people judge people's musical taste sometimes and that is a bad thing... People may dress completely different from the way they are... If anyone has seen SLC Punk then they know exactly what I mean.

All I can say is...UP THE PUNX!
Emo sucks, it is all about girls and love...We don't care about your love life!
Punx talk about society, poilitics, and just being punks and kicking people's asses, and rebellion...Everything that you aren't being told, the punx will tell you.
