Hey I once stumbled upon a tutorial on vector art for PSP 7 I forgotten the URL, but I do remember how to vector using the said program, alright you first need to open up any image. Then go to Effects > Noise > Edge Perserving Smooth set it to 17 Then go to Edit > Copy, now go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Posterize set it to 9 Go to Edit > Paste As A New Layer Go to Layer > Porperties and set the blending mood to Color, you should something like a semi smooth posterize looking image, now comes the vectoring part. Take the Draw tool and set it to Freehand and straight line. Afterwhich take the Eye dropper tool and right click on the color of the same level, (make sure your foreground is X out, X with the circle, you know that banned sign) Start choosing your color (make sure they correspond) and just draw over, and hopefully with time and effort you should get something close to a vector.. nerbleStatus: Offline!
you can't really vector things the offical correct way with psp7 as far as i know. you can get similar effects but not genuine vectors. i don't know about psp8 though, haven't worked w/ it too much.
You can't create editable vector files (editable for other vector programs, I mean), but you can export them as .eps and .wmf. |
