here's why it won't work. if i get the same to do my job as bob, no matter what if i see bob slacking, why should i strain myself? at that point the whole system breaks down. because then nancy and jill see bob and i slacking and then no one is doing anything.

people need to have rewards and reasons for hard work. otherwise there's no reason to strive to do better. how many discoveries would have been lost or never made had everyone been level no matter what they achived?

In an ideal communist society
and by the organization of labor for the common advantage of all members
means that everyone pulls their own weight or they are punished. Those that work with them pick up the slack and are the benefits/rewards that would have been received by the slacker are now distributed between those working harder now.

In movies/books and such, the 3 Musketeers led semi-communistic lives. "All for one, one for all."

strive to do better to reap no rewards...hrm...i like to be motivated. not for comunism. people should be rewarded/payed for their skills and their work not for someone elses or lack there of.

some person washing dishes versus some other person writing amazing works of literature...and getting it all the same.

If I lived somewhere that even seemed close to becoming communistic I'd be making plans to leave.

- no chance of improvement in your life
- no punishement for not pulling your own
- no reward for making any type of advancement
- knowing that you support those who do nothing

that ain't a uptopia to me

I agree - but no matter what it still boils down to what man/woman wanted to do and who had the power to enforce their views or adaptation of communism

major con of communism: humanity.

a civilization simply CANNOT live in a truly communistic world. it just doesn't work. people go on and on about how humans are so civilized and advanced, but when you look at it, we really are animals. we need leaders, or alphas, a person with more power than the rest of us. that isn't provided for in true communism.

You people need to read up on what a TRUE communistic society entails.

You are punished for not pulling your own weight.
You are payed based on performance, importance and experience.
Everything in a communistic society is based on need, not want.

Read The Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx

Boom. 2 reasons it won't work. People are greedy. We want more, we want to be better than others. People will feel they're not being payed enough, demand more, that throws the whole chain off.
And how many things do you have that don't NEED?

I don't need a computer, I don't need turntables, I don't need 5 pairs of shoes, I don't need golf clubs.

The only things anyone really NEED are things that a neccesary for survival. We choose to enrich and overload our lives with extra things.

Why do athletes get paid millions, while the people that keep them safe barely get paid $50,000/year? That is wrong. Just because you do something that entertains people doesn't mean you should get paid more.

If we learned from communist ideals, our society would be much better off.

If I could, I would gladly play soccer for just enough money to get by (enough to eat and have a studio apartment and have transportation).

everybody enjoys equal status and wealth, people will then start to slack, thinking that no matter how hard they work, they still get the same pays as the others. thus, the whole nation will simply fall when everybody slacks.
however if everybody were to work, the society will of course be rich. but most ppl wont. stalin actually had to mass killing the peasants who try to slack inorder to let the whole system be a litte bit more successful.

as for capitalism, we look more at our fingers, where things dun usually go very fair. yes, a soccer player can earn more than a professor. but look, with capitalism, humans will then start to strive and work harder inorder to meet their needs and this will actually helps to improve the nation's economy.

in my conlcusion, i feel that communism is more like a manual force to make the country grow whereas capitalism is more like a automatic one. this is all because of humans. if humans dun slack, communism will definitely work but since humans slack, looks like capitalism will be the only way. maybe this is why our fingers are grow in such a way that they are not in equal length.
