Those are pretty awesome. Those tend to be bulky and akward. I am curious how fast the 80 gig is since its USB.

I'll use CDs to take docments to school. However if I need to take something home like and updated word document or digital project I will upload it to my webhosting account.

It can be hard to use CDs withought a burner but if you do there a nice drag and drop function available with DirectCD.

Later.

It's USB, USB 2, and Firewire. Transfer rates for each are, respectively: 12 mbps, 480 mbps, 400 mbps.

Digital project to your account? I would ... but my last video project is about 7.2 gigs, little big for FTP Wink

I'd provide a link, but everytime I copy the URL I get an error message trying to use it after. So go to: www.londondrugs.ca, then to Computers, Drives, Removable Drives, and then in that list you'll see "IOGear COMBO ION GHD135C80 - hard drive - 80 GB - FireWire / Hi-Speed USB
IOGear COMBO ION GHD135C80 - Hard drive - 80 GB - standard - 3.5" - FireWire / Hi-Speed USB - 7200 rpm"

Thats what I have, it's 8 cm x 17 cm x 19 cm and 1.2 kg in weight. Not too bad once you get used to it, but you need to buy a carrying case really ... I had one already though. Overall, its excellent to have and suits my needs.

I hate floppies and prefer CD-r's because just the other day I was working on something really important on work, saved it to floppy and some1 asked me for the floppy because they needed it, they couldn't open the floppy on their comp because it was corrupted

Floppies for giong to the library to print off work, but mostly I send it to my self by e-mail. But if the network's down (wgich is often), I use floppies. CD-r's for songs and if there's no floppy drive, a cd-rw for data and work

I am sorry for the confusion. I am refering to some of my .AI files and my PDF documents. Sometimes my flash and power point presentations are large. I'll usually upload the files to some freehosting account as a temporary storage.

That ION 80 gig drive is pretty fast. I was expecting it to lag alot. I don't use a computer enough to need a 80gig external drive. Maybe in college I will but I'll probably have a laptop preferably a G5.
