Everybody here in my school says they will get drunk tonight which they might but they probablly dont even know how to drink it right or even like the crap.

I dont like beer

I'm for martinis and margaritas (its decent not my favorite though) and other non beer alcohol beverages

And I sure as hell dont drink and drive.

Or as my calc class says dont drink and derive (derivitives)

Water is the best. Wink

I agree that people who drink just to look cool are stubborn.
If you drink get to or can drink, don't abuse it. Age doesn't really matter, it's just responsibility.

Oh, and Charliecgc is right. That's weird, being able to go get yourself killed in war before before you can kill yourself with alcohol. But I wouldn't agree with being 16 to drink.

I'm a straightedge. No drinking, no smoking, no sex. That about sums up my views.

I am a chocolate milk and Pepsi whore, though. Grin

That's the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Its proven that the brain doesn't fully develop until 21 ... so heavy drinking before that is just inviting damage to a brain that hasn't even finished growing.

Of course, maybe I'm biased because I was hit head-on by a drunk driver. Guess what? She was 18 and she died. Worst night of my life.

If for no other reason, teenagers shouldn't be allowed to drink simply because they are teenagers. Irresponsible, short-sighted and hormone-driven. The law exists for a reason. Get over it.

drinking under 21 or even 18 (I guess) is pretty much retarded. Anytime under that age is pretty much for social/look cool purposes. I think kids should be learning how to read and mature a little before they start their early alcoholic careers...

I think that it's better that kids underage do drink. Drinking beer is ALOT better tahn doing weed, cocaine, Cigs, etc.. Anyone will agree with me on this but getting drunk every night is common at my school and I go to one of the best schools in the countre (US) But honestly I think it's better than most drugs. I am 15 I do drink occasionaly but I don't get drunk, it's more of a social thing then a party.

Something that comes to mind is, "Good in moderation." But drinking because it's "cool"... just show them a video tape of their stupidness after they've sobered up. Probably won't do much good, but you might get a laugh :P

anyways, i think that if you are so desperate to get drunk that you do it before you are 21 then that is just pretty sad.Wink

I still wonder why so many people think it's ok to drink, even moderatly. I am against drinking all together and it goes without saying drugs and sex. Why can you think this is a good thing? Don't you think there is a reason Alchohol would be filtered through your body? It's because it is poison.

I have (as well as many others here) seen too much destruction of human dignity and life. How easy is it for a moderate drinker to get drunk to no end? How easy is it for a drunk to get into a car regaurdless of what he's been taught. How can a drunk know right from wrong when he beats his little kids. That too I have seen too often, Abuse.

You may say that this doesn't apply to you, but in reality if you drink, all of the above applies, moderate or not. Drugs, Alchohol, and unmarried sex* will more then likely affect us all, whether we use them or not, be it a family member or us directly. It only takes a few minutes to ruin your life and the life of another.

As for my view on alchohol I'm pretty sure from this you can understand that I am against anything that can "innocently" hurt one of my family or friends.

EDIT: * unmarrried
