I dotn think so. just incase 8 has a completly new look and features to it. I think its a start to 8 just to show what they can do. then when 8 comes out convince people to buy that

Photoshop CS is Photoshop 8, Read Collin Smiths article before you go as far as saying this is a lite version...he has been a beta tester for the new product...

http://www.photoshopcafe.com/Photoshop%20CS.htm

From my understanding the options for digital photographers have really been stepped up. They might not have added another 100 filters for you guys that like em' so much...but its definatley not a lite version.... Smile

lol, im afraid you misunderstood... a histogram is just like a graph, i believe its for the colour, not for the history :P

looks good! cant wait to see it... but then again, when they show previews, its usually like optimal performance, and better than what most people can do...

Requirements

It looks like the Photoshop CS requires Mac OS X or Win 2000/XP. Too bad for all the Win98 users out there.

Several of the new features look good, it's a wonder it took so long to get "text on path" but now it is finally here. The Highlight/Sadow and Match Color features are going to be interesting to test.

I also noticed that the software requires activation much like WinXP. More spies in my machine

Adobe doesn't say anything about the Filter Layer- feature that has been talked about all over the web alot. Hope it's there since I think it would be a great thing.

As for ImageReady it doesn't look like much new except that it launches inside Photshop now and that they rearranged the Roll Over palatte... again. SWF export should be ineresting especially in combination with Illustrator.

Off to the bank... WM
