Getting writers...to write...
I'm not really sure exactly where to put this, this, in a round-about way, seems the best place so here 'tis.
I've got a team of writers for my site, devnet, which is about 15 strong. Basically, they're there voluntarily to write tutorials for the site reasonably regularly - which is great...in theory. My trouble is is that the writers sign up really enthusiastically and then write about 5 tutorials for the site, and then they seem to either not be bothered to, have too little time to or simply forget to write the tutorials. I'm looking for a way to inspire them to write more regularly without it seeming like I'm pushing them into it - how do you suggest that I do this?
If you've got any thoughts or ideas, please tell me.
Cheers,
Dave

There is now way of getting it done. Money is only good if your site is poducing enough.. which i very much doubt.
A good way is maybe making your site more popular. To be honest ive never heard of your site. So i wont read the tutorials. So once your site gains popularity, writers will think there articles are being read, and they will appreciate that more (well i would anyway)

Why try? Just keep signing up inspired writers.
Writing tutorials looks as good on people resume / portfolio as it does on your site. Maybe an onrush of new writers will inspire
some older writers to stay on top.

never heared of the site before either.
you'll want to advertise to get some visitors, people won't write tutorials that aren't being read.

Thanks for the replies...
The articles are being read, it's just by nothing like the volume of Spoono or the like.
Thanks for your ideas and comments - I've taken them on-board.
Cheers,
Dave
