Popup Ads and Software

Can anyone help me with a samll computer problem. Lately, Ive been getting many pop up ads and things like that, from sites such as double click, gator, gorilla ads and those kind of junk places. I think they came on on some software i downloaded. Ive done the add remove programs for them but it doesn't work.

They are the kind of ad's like: 'Free DVD's ' Get your Frame Gameboy ' ' Find you Perfect Match ' etc, and the come whenever you open the browser and close it and at rendom times.

Ive tried software like ' ad aware ' and ' adkill ' and ' popup ad remover ' and stuff like that, none which have any impact.

Can anyone help me with this problem and tell me any hints they might having to removing these things without turning popups off.

Back in the states.

Download ad-aware from lavasoft, they have a free version and a better paid version. The free version does everything you need though so its not a case of a half-done job if u dont pay.

yea, adaware works awesome.

also try getting a popup blocker, or a browser that integrates popup blocking. Opera and Mozilla have it. Theres quite a few out there.
