My fav ones are CDude and Jeb. "these guys are good"

Yep, I agree The Boy.
Where has Jeb been lately? I miss him.
OOP is actually very easy to pick up on, to me anyways. It's a good thing to know.

I picked up PHP in a few hours. This was about 2 months after I learned PERL(which took about a day). I had been programming in BASIC and HTML for several years before this, though. Once you know the basics of programming (variables, functions, loops, etc) any language is merely a different set of pre-defined variables, functions, and a different syntax. It's been about 3 years since I started using PHP and really got into web development. Now, I can code pretty much anything I need to with a simple reference guide for whatever language I'm coding in. It might take me a while and my code will be completely different than anyone else's (I just code wierd), but it'll get the job done.

notice that he didn't say they were GOOD scripts
lol j/k man...
It took me about 6-9 months to get fully used to coding major scripting projects from scratch. But once you get down the basics of PHP and MySQL, there is absolutely NO PROBLEM with going back and reviewing them every once in awhile! I've been coding for a year now and I still find myself constantly referring to PHP.net for reference
Just keep at it and I PROMISE that you will get to where you can code as well as (almost) anyone here.
In the meantime, I will refer you to these sites:

I've been into php for only about a half... maybe 1 month, I have a good grasp of variables, functions, loops, arrays, syntax, etc... but there is still a HUGE gap in my knowledge of the language (can you blame me? it's a very big lang!
)
I have gotten into mysql aswell, and i think i'm going along nicely
I'm just going to keep at it, and continue expanding my knowledge.
Good luck to everyone who feels like they just can't do it!
Don't give up! Just keep at it like me!
