Started a website hosting company, need Site Critics!

I started a Website Hosting Company, and I made the website with a friend, I am wanting your opinion on it.

my opinion: i don't like it much. mainly because of that funny looking penguin and the antec case are rather detailed and are just slapped over top. the background and the content itself are the same color so it doesn't have a focal point.

i like the blues and the size of the layout. just needs improvement

Well, first of all, I thought the banner was an ad banner till i read the last post... i suggest using a still image for a header.

Also, there is Times New Roman (or something) text in the Hosting Plans section... NOT appealing.

On a side note, you might want to know that www.dathorn.com offers for $15 what you offer for $30 (2 gigs space, unlimited everything, etc.)

sorry for being rude, but I suggest u need to redesign it. It seems that you're not serious to design this site. Looks like you just put anything here and there.

Bold font in the 1st page is not good, some might be OK....but all of them. And the header...oh boy....buy a photostocks and use it for the header.

You inspiration site, templatemonster.com might give you some idea what you really looking for.

Do some research before designing a site.

And the penguin, I think I saw that before. Did u ask that guy to make that for ya ? or u made it by urself ?

you need a professional logo for anyone to take you serious.

get rid of the all blue bg color.

wow you youve a lot of spacer gifs.

think of a color scheme that is professional.

get rid of those php and linux logos.

write some sales copy that tell people who you are, what you do and why you are the best choice for them.

Yeah - Might want to fix up the design to give it a more professional look, I know a lot of people, including myself, that will not trust a hosting company (or other company) if their site looks thrown together and unprofessional. Another thing that really concerns me is how, for your "order hosting" page, it isn't under an encrypted (SSL/HTTPS) connection. With information as senstive as credit card numbers, this is completely unacceptable. If someone were to obtain one of your customer's credit card numbers, you'd go out of business instantly and probably get brought to court. So re-think these things and fix them. As a result, your site will be much better.

You definitely want to seriously consider a redesign of your website. It looks very unprofessional. I would suggest perhaps trashing the site and investing in a designer. For $25 I'm sure you could get a quality template from some of the younger/up-and-coming designers on TutorialForums that would look 100 times better than what you have right now.

I know it sounds a little harsh but you are making that site to make money. And the way it is setup right now I doubt you would get any business... I know I wouldn't purchase hosting from your website even if it is very good hosting. Good luck and don't give up after listening to *******s like me.

Personally, I like the layout, but I do agree that it doesn't look 'proffessional.' I would do away with the whole times new roman thing though. And I say to heck with convetion, its your website. I like it lol and I think the penguin is koolio. Still *if* you want to attract more visitors some inprovement may be in order.
