Adobe, the basics.
Well, recently taken in Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator for graphic Design class, sadly the teacher knows _nothing_ about the program.
Making us wonder around and fool around with it, sure it's fun but I want to learn!
Could anyone just show me some basics? Like how layering works, blending, etc.
I want to get into making webpages and banners.
Would be really appreciated for some advice

reading the manual is a good thing to start with it. It explains all the basics.
also check the tut thread at the top of the PS forum for links to tuts sites

alright, thanks.
Thing is, it being a class we don't get the manual. I'm currently using the 30 day trial on Adobe ps7, how much is it to buy it?

There's a thread on the main page that lists several good places to get discounted prices on Photoshop. Being a student and all, I'm sure you can find places that are more than willing to give you the student discount. Ask your teacher.

The manual should have installed with Photoshop ....
In the menu options at the top choose Help>Photoshop Help
