Yes, winamp 5 is supposed to be backwords compatiable with WA 2 and 3 skins. That was one major downfall of WA3 besides the resources... Winamp 2.x skinners really got pissed when they found out they were going to have to take a 2 year course in XML just to skin it, and also there 2.x skins were rendered useless.... But this looks promising..

no, but 5 is version 2 + version 3 (the features from both combined) and well 2=3+5, so that's what they did
