REQ: Water Effect Tutorial

If anyone knows how to create a water effect on top of pictures can you please tell me?

I don't know of any tutorials, but I downloaded a water filter from Redfield http://www.redfieldplugins.com/index.htm it's pretty cool.

how do you install the plug-in to paint shop pro exactly?

Make sure psp is closed.
Put it in a base filter directory.. a "filters" folder within your Psp folder is a popular one.. create a folder of the name of the filter (this is for tidyness purposes so you dont have 12 million filters intermingled in one folder), place the filter in there.. install to that directory if necessary.
Now open psp, go to file > preferences > file locations > plug-in filters.. choose these options..
enable filters
include subfolders
limit load plugin to .8b extension

Now browse to the \filters directory.. NOT the full path to the filter itself.. click ok and reboot psp. It should show up in your filters list.

Just a note: some plug-ins use a different extension from .8bf (like Flaming Pear's plug-ins), so I would suggest you not to use that option.

I'm using Flaming Pear's designer sextet series and they work just fine with that option checked.
