If you either:
a) Have a domain name
b) Have at least 1 site that is listed on Google linking to your site
c) Submitted your site to dmoz.org

Then chances are, you'll be listed on Google pretty soon. See, Google uses a crawler to auto-find sites (so do most other search engines) and if the crawler can reach your site then you'll be listed.

Yeah with Cpanel you can submit your site.

I went around submitting my site to search engnines and it got in, it was about 4-5 weeks wait though, but then I got another domain and I didn't have to do anything to get that one in.

yes dont touch automated software if your site is submitted more than once you may cause your site being treated as spam and ignored by the search engines.

The best way i found to get listed is by putting your link in your sig on forums and goggle bot or what ever will come round and pick it up and index you later automaticly within a month or so all the search engines you should be worried about getting listed on will have your site indexed and in there database.

another who agrees with doing it manually... i have yet to see automatic submission to 300000 search engines actually work... after many attempts of course

Best way is to get linked by a site who has set the meta tags to be indexed regularly... you wont get in any quicker
