Metal Armor Effect

I'd like to really shape the image i atteched to some similar to like a futeristic armor.....

any ideas?

Hmmm... I really like the colours and the banner. The gradients work well aswell. The only thing I recommend is try to make it more 3D, even though the gradients are there, its still looking very 2D - ish. If you could do this using the same ideas, colours, gradients etc. then it would look much better!

nonono....why is everyone thinking that good graphics has to be 3d and all nowdays....2d with some simple deapth feal like in that image is just fine I think....btw...HALO ROCKS!

Well, the best thing to do, although it is not as simple as said, is to grab the airbrush and go at it. I'm sure if you take your time you can figure it out.
