knives - cooking knives
guns
baseballs and bats
high heels
dogs
wild animals
pools
jetskis

i think you get the idea...a lot of things that are used for recreation or that aren't necisary (and yes i am aware that things on my little list such as animals are necisary) would have to be made illegal. hell, we'd have to buy pre chewed food so we are less likely to choke to death, and sex would be illegal for the chance of contracting an STD or HIV.

and making them illegal wouldn't stop them from being used...it hasn't stopped them yet and it won't. the more laws we make against it is just more laws being broken by people that were already breaking laws and didn't care that they were breaking the first ones...

I started reading through the arguments, and gave up. Too many facts sorry.

however, this is my point of view.

I'm against the use of weed. And tobacco though as well, however, I believe both should be legal. And taxed. Taxed as hell. Then use THAT money for health and the like, because god knows those people will need it, but more so, EDUCATION. I bet more than 50% of the people that smoke up all the time weren't taught it was bad bad bad in their early years, repetitively through to highschool and college. Well, I think it should be. I was, mostly by my parents. Thats why I don't smoke anything. Thats my thought. I also think tobacco and marijuana shouldn't be advertised. Atleast in magazines and the like. Again, thats my thought.

i'm pretty sure if you look at the statistics you'll probably notice that alcohol usage for cooking, religious purposes etc is very low.

who are you to tell people that you should be able to destroy your livers. there needs to be guidelines in all places. that is why you are pretty much required to attend schooling in your youth.

i think all of you need to mind your own business. especially jadedchron. what medical degree do you have to tell people they need therapy? the reason children have to attend school is because they do not have the mental capacity to make their own logical decisions about their future. that is in no way related to a responsible adult drinking alchohol or smoking marijuana. what an educated responsible person does with themselves in their own homes is their own business.
