Man, you people are sitting here argueing about which OS is superior to one or another. If you like using Linux, then use linux. If you like your mac, use mac. If you like to use windows, use it with no shame. Hell, I use windows and I love it. I wouldn't use another for OS unless Microsoft is dead. I heard the same old thing over and over and over about how Microsoft this and Linux that, we are not in their position to be talking about whatever.
an example:
If you hate your neightbor, and your house it on fire, your water line is dead, your neightbor is the only water source you can find, would you use it or would you sit there and let your house burn down? Also, the fire is small enough for you to put it out with the hose from your neightbor, but if you wait longer till the firemen to come to your house, the fire will spread everywhere. So you're telling me that you wouldn't use your neightbor's water?

I got a version of Linux that boots and runs from a CD and comes with hundreds of apps. I'm really liking it! But since it's just a CD demo thing you can't save settings and when you click on something the CD drive has to start spinning.

i run FreeBSD as my desktop, (if you look in the screenshot post you can see it). The available software for any type of unix based system is considerably large these days. Besides heavy gaming you can do just about anything on a unix based pc that you can on a windows/mac pc. The freebsd ports collection (for those who dont know what it is, it is a part of the operatung system where you can download and install programs, scripts, and many other types of applications by simply typing "make install or pkg_add" anyways there are now over 10,000 available ports. Plus the thousands of other software you can download and configure yourself. Unix based systems are coming a long way with there compatability and the available applications. But if you are happy with windows then why switch, i respect people's opinions on what they choose to run. I do enjoy giving Locke a hard time about not using FreeBSD but thats only for fun. ok im done rambling

regardless, Mac and Linux may not have the software, but that certainly doesnt make windows any better than a lump of crap
Yo, Dudes!!! you're all getting me wrong; I'm not saying Windows is the best anything, what I am saying is, you have to give credit where credit is due and Windowscertainly deserves some.
And panzershreck I never get any of that with windows, your computer must be messed up or something, you need a knew computer, man.

Do you know what his first product was? MS Basic. Do you know how much he sold it for? Lets put it this way, a lot more than you'll ever make in a year.

SmartAss, there's no need to make three seperate posts. One is enough.
I use both Linux and Windows (Windows more often) and can say that they both have their uses.
