slicing trouble

Maybe you can help me. I am trying to make a navigation bar that I will use in Dreamweaver. I am doing the artwork in Illustrator. I have a long bar with three words in it: info, work and contact. I am trying to slice this bar into thirds that I can import into dreamweaver to make into a rollover. I can't cut the bar into thirds. It is driving me nuts. I have attached a gif of the bar I want to divide. Maybe you have a solution? Everytime I try, I can only slice part of it. I want to cut it into thirds. How hard can it be?

for something that plain why not just make it all html? it would load faster and you can still make it rollover. use css and html to do what you want, instead of images. if the graphic was more complex then i'd do an image rollover, but that is just my opinion.
