I Need a Project................Give me Ideas

I used to frequent this forum alot, dont know how many remember me, but anyways, Im no longer working at my job since school has started, but school has been incredibly easy for me, so I have been coming home to my house, browsing the web for a bit, and then finding I have nothing to do. I got sick of PHP for a while, but now I wanna work on a major PHP project. What scripts are there that the community doesnt have? I've been thinking about writing a forum, or something else, but I wanna get some opinions. Does anyone have a project going already and need a coder? Give me some thoughts so I'm no longer bored.

--anything you can think of, has probably been done in some form or another. if you're looking for projects (or one huge project) i would suggest looking at the script request forum, and possibly the contest section, sometimes people are looking for the kind of help you are offering in there, and you can get paid for it too.

Code me a OS on command line in PHP that will work without any previous OS installed. You are allowed to use passthru and create a bios to accompny it. You have 3 days. Good luck!

Why don't you work on your own forum, your own cms perhaps? Plenty of things to do.

I have thought about a php os............Im just not sure about cross platform compatibility from the command line. You can run "php file.php" from any system with php installed, but there would still be a few problems.

You could try creating metasearch or standalone search engine that queries a database.

port Net::AIM to PHP. Right now all i'm able to do is use naim's nsocket plugin. :S
