MySQL on server

I recently decided to try and learn PHP, and MySQL also. I went through a quick tutorial, and downloaded PHP and MySQL. My question is how do I get the database onto my webserver so I can use it?

What type of OS do you have.

you install PHP, and you install the server. end of story. MySQL is a separate server which PHP connects to.

Oh, I did that link that you gave me, JE. It took me awhile to figure out but I eventually got it. But that's on my home computer. How would I get it on my web server, www.mydomain.com, or does it not matter?
