When i look around i see real cool banners on websites sure uve seen em. Just wondered how all the effects are created and what tools and filters are used in photoshop.

Your question is really vague and general, there are literally thousands of ways to design banners in PS.

What style are you looking for?
Can you post an example?
Ask about one or two specific questions and it is much easier for us to help.

web banners are usually 468x60 in size. What you do from there is usually all about creativity.

Hits the tutorial thread above and start doing some tuts and learn how to use PS Smile

I know the sizes but there must be certain filters to use. Alot of the headers have the same style below is an example of what i am looking at:

that is an example i know that the left side of that banner has been made in some 3d program eg 3d max but look at the right side that is photoshop how do people do that?

Another example below shows another of the same sorta style:

that is another perfect example !!

1st one can be done in ps with the 3d block thing filter or in 3dsmax and the second one is probably cinema 4d with some ps effects put in

3d transform is the "3dblock thing" called, anyway...
