passwording a folder on XP pro?

okay i wanna password one folder that i use on XP pro, how do i do it?

Right click on the folder, choose proporties or whatever and it will probably be in there somewhere.

That article was fairly long, um i just use winzip for password protect stuff, but i know its still not the most efficient way of storing it however its not to bad and easy to do.

1. open up windows explorer
2. go to tools/folder options
3. this pops up the folder options window
4. go to the view tab
5. go to the advance settings scroll box and scroll to the bottom where it says: "Use simple file sharing (Recomended) uncheck this box, and then hit apply and then ok and then you have "classic" file sharing.

go to any file or directory you want to pw protect, right click on it > properties >sharing and you will see you will be able to do it then. hope this helps you out and is a bit more clear.

Or you can find a program which does this. Most are shareware though and you have to run it every time.
