PHP NUKE And Similiar Programs.
If i downloaded phpnuke would i have to put "powered by php nuke" at the bottom of each page. If i do is there other programs similiar to nuke where i don't have to put the system engine down etc.
I'm thinking of using something like that because it's quick and easy i just don't really want copyright stuff on etc.
Thoughts..?

you don't "have" to but you should.
things don't come quick and easy, people worked hard to make that stuff so at least give them credit.

i understand what you are saying, but lets say someone did a site for a small/intermediate sized business but would like the membership system etc. Instead of hiring a professional php/asp programmer they could download phpnuke and have a reasonable chance of succeeding in what they want to do. Yet having copyright of phpnuke at the bottom or everypage wouldn't look as professional right?
Don't get me wrong i understand that the people who created phpnuke do deserve credit but surely for a small business type thing it wouldn't be neccesary?

what difference does it make whether the site is big or small?
not giving credit is unprofessional right there.

My thoughts exactly.
Seriously, i made my own CMS for my site and, althought it's not buggy like Nuke, it doesn't have nearly as many features either. And it still took me many many hours...
So, giving credit to the creator(s) is only fair. Besides, if your site is any kind of business, you shouldn't expect free stuff. It is my strong opinion that businesses should buy all their software, simply because they make a profit with this software's help.
