I've always wondered...
Maybe someone can explain this to me.... It's not really important, I'm just curious. It's something I've never been able to figure out.
Why is it that, in Illustrator, to mirror an object horizontally, you must select: object - transform - reflect - vertical and to mirror an object vertically, you must select: object - transform - reflect - horizontal?

From what I understand, the command treats the object as if you were holding a mirror to it.
So, if you were to actually have a physical mirror next to the object you would have to hold the mirror vertically to mirror the object on a horizontal plane, and would have to hold it horizontally to mirror it on a vertical plane.

Ok, that makes sense, I guess.......
