[READ THIS] Rules and more

Forum Rules
- If you do not follow these rules your thread will be deleted or closed. And you will be reminded to read the rules.

- Search before starting a topic. Most topics made have a similar one on the same page. Please look for similar posts before posting yours. I cannot stress this point enough. Please follow this rule

- Make sure your post belongs in this forum. Look at the other forums, and decide if this is the right place. If you happen to mess up it can be moved.

- DO NOT trade links for warez or illegal files. You may discuss it to an extent, but if there is a link your post will be edited or deleted.

- DO NOT discriminate against any other users. Be nice, if you have beef with the poster, take it up in PM or just don't post. Also only post if you see it useful. Do not spam or post something someone has already noted.

Thanks to Warped Minds for drawing these up.

A4D's 4 Steps to Success

Many questions/requests of tutorials have been repeated over and over here, so instead of wasting TF's sweet space, Ill help you get what you need in four simple steps:

Check the stickies. - Many tutorials that you will probably need will be in one of the stickies/important posts in this forum.

Search TutorialForums - Its right there in your face. Use the "Search" feature on top of the page, theres a possibility that the question you ask has been asked for before.

Search DeviantArt - Most of the tutorials in our stickies came from DeviantArt. I'm sure that you will find everything you need there.

Search Google - Google = GOD. Simple as that.

If all fails, post here for it.

- A4D

Ah yes and I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH, PLEASE name your threads with more relevence to the subject matter! "3DSM HELP!" is not a good thread title. For example, if you have a question about the Edit mesh modifier, name your thread "3dsm: Edit Mesh" or something like that.

Thanks.

If you have lost your Movie/Rotate/Scale transform (otherwise known as the Transform Gizmo). Click on X on your keyboard.

If your object disappears when you move/rotate the scene click the O key. This toggles the Adaptive Degradation.

To save your render as a jpg/gif/png/etc look in the upper left hand corner of the render window for a little floppy disk icon.

All
To make those swirvy spikey shiny random images that you see on just about EVERY design site look at the TUTORIALS/TEXTURES sticky.

To get a transparent background save it as a png. Make sure you make it RGB 24 bit after you hit the save button. (note: it won't be transparent in the render window but it will be in PS)
