Little help please (knicks #3)

Ok, I'm back.

Could you please take a look @ http://www.knicks4life.com/knicksdesign200304/index.php

Now ... it's not done yet
But as you might see, I used a lot the "shadow" effect.
Take a look at the news section (under the navigation).

The shadow is there out of place IMO ... the problem is that the blue background does not match good with white or black color in the font.

Is there anybody that has good suggestion for the fontcolor ?

I think the two blue colors are nice and match good ... it's just a problem for the newssection ...

And while we're @ it ... what you think of the site so far ?
I'm still puzzeled on the select box, it seems like those white borders can't be changed (did a search here and on google, but no valueble info )

How's the coding ?

Looks pretty good but its too spread out... maybe keep the basic design but where I would make the space where your main content is going to go bigger and have everything closer togerther

...a very light gray may be worth a shot.

The newssection is still not OK IMO, but I placed big newsboxes on the front page.

I think the first one is pretty good
The second one is too light
The third one could work if I get some more orange in the rest of the design
The last one is also pretty good

I would take the first one, but what's your opinion ?

Any comments so far on the site ?
