Help with seach engines
I made a very basic webpage for my dads electrical company www.easternelectricalservices.co.uk
and he wants search engines to bring his website up when people type in certain words for example "electricaire"
I have added metatags thanks to an online generator but i can't seem to get the webpage to come up.
thanks.

some pages add the site automatic but you can submit the site to the most populars like
www.altavista.com
www.google.com
www.yahoo.com
and others

I believe you would have to put your meta tags on your frameset page.

My page only has one frame which my meta tags are on.
thanks for the replys.
My dads got his mind set on advertising online, i don't think he will get much business from this, his companys an electricians firm in the south east area of england, i mean the last place people would look for an electrician is online.

1. Get rid of the frames.
2. Include keyword in your title, meta tags, and text content. Be sure to Bold and Italic it.
3. http://google.com/addurl.html

Not paying
Did you pay to submit your site? because if you free submit your site to search engines that may take maybe 2- 6 weeks to actually see your site. Also depending on how many sites are already in that category you submitted your site to.

Most search engines disregard meta tags. Get good title tags and make sure all your images have alt tags. Make sure your body text includes keywords (but don't spam). Now go and submit to the smaller SEs and directories out there. You will get a trickle of traffic from them, as well as improved performance on Google because of your increased link popularity.
