Decent ftp hosting 4 free?

Does anyone know of a good web host that allows you to use good old-fashioned FTP instead of thier own crappy JavaScript file managers?

I don't care how long the name has to be, I just want about 20 megs of space and normal FTP use..that's it.

I used to use www.f2s.com, but they've stopped their free service now and I need somewhere else. I tried registering at www.0catch.com, but they don't allow me to link to files on their servers unless it's from my own webpage (hence the reason my sig won't show).

Any ideas?

Thanks!

I don't understand...

Don't you always have to upload via FTP? I use Flash FXP to do all my uploading to my server. Are you saying some servers have their own programs on the control panels which do this?

Ah...so that's what that's for. Smile So, how do you know if they allow you to use an external FTP program? Mine, AtomHost, never said anything about this. (Fortunately, they do allow it.)

Also, what are these FTP accounts? I assume this means space on your server that people can download stuff from, right? Why would you need more than one of these FTP accounts? Some of them have 3 or more of these.

wtf... www.truepath.com is christian hosting site?! ive heard of christian rappers (which is pretty bad) but this almost as bad...

newayz.. ask your dad for his credit card number and use hypermart.. thats what did Smile

and more than one ftp accounts are for things like hosting.. if you want to host someone, you dont want them gettin in your shtuf, so you have a seprate ftp account.. people rarely use FTPs for people to browse on.. they're just the fastest way to upload shtuff to your site.. and it has more options than those gay browser uploaders

Truepath might be christian hosting..but a host is a host. I used it and it's good..I don't know what religion has to do in web hosting. 0_o

As long as they don't put any "have you found Jesus?" banners, then I guess it doesn't matter..
