This is just a little something I made using a polygonal tool, distort>shear, and a air brush and some colors.

Please tell me what ya think as a 15 minute porject.

It's a tentacle. I don't really see anything special about it, there are a million tutorials that describe how to do this.

Thats cool and all, but that aint what I did.... I have read that tutorial before, and I only used 1 background layer, 1 flame layer, and 4 text layers.. Those tentacles look similiar, but I used a more unique way of making a flame.

Perhaps the method is unique, but the result isn't. And I hate to say this, but it doesn't look like a flame.

15 Minutes

keep tryin, dont give up.

Work on your composition. Also the piece could use some more contrast.

Use a darker color for the BG to make the "flame" stand out more.

Kryptonite speaks the truth. It doesn't look anything like a flame. It's much worse looking than the tentacle in that tutorial. There's also nothing new and cool about it. It's far too simple.
