Text in a circle.. using...

can i type text in a circle using a path from the pentool. I dont know if it can be done in PS... and also .. plz tell me if it can be done in illustrator.. but i reall need this one to work in PS.

text along a path in PS is not possible. There is an option within the text tool option bar to 'warp' text.

Illustrator would be your best bet.

Well, you can make the text you would like to use a brush and then stroke the path with the brush. But as vog suggested, Illustrator is usually the program you would take on this type of job with.

I was wondering the same thing. Photoshop should have that capability in the next version if it doesn't have it in this one.

There are a couple ways you can do this.. first is just do it letter by letter and scale/rotate/position each letter how ever you wish, it may be tedious but it just might be what you are looking for... second option is the warped text. After you type your text look up on the toolbar there should be an italic style T with arrows pointing downward. If you were trying to put something in a circular pattern you could choose arch and put the bend to 100 percent for the text you want on top. Then the text you want on the bottom -100 percent (for an opposite bend) Also make sure the text is centered.
