shout out box...how?
Hi everyone,
This isn't really a site review, just a question. I wasn't sure where to post it so if it's in the wrong room, sorry!
I've noticed a lot of sites on this forum have "shout out" boxes or bullentin boards or forums or whatever you want to call them....an area where someone can post a message. I would like to incorporate this for my next site but wasn't exactly sure the easiest way to do it. Could someone help me out with this?
Thanks a lot.

not really anything do with cgi anymore, its all done in php. Your host must have mysql databases, and php installed. If you have these, head over to sourceforge.net and get the webfroot shoutbox.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/shoutbox/
Next, upload this to your server, and follow the instructions, if you need any help, email me or add me to msn (apwilliams@roadrunner.nf.net and msn is emplode@hotmail.com)
hope this helps.
