GeForce FX5900 Ultra Video Card? Pros? Cons?
What do you think? that or ATI Radeon 9800? I know they're both cheating on the 3DMArk 2003 score, but honestly, what do you think?
FX5900 Ultra is around $530 from Iocombo and the cheapest ATI is around $330 from Ateck. Just wondering, which one will you pick for your next dream system ...
Just want to hear firsthand from hardcore users what do they think of these 2 latest products that, supposedly, rock your world.

I'd get the 5900 because of the hot demos for the card. *drools*
And you can find the 5900 256mb ultra for less than 500 if you shop around. I wouldn't get any ati product because of the stuff i've heard, like some games not working, etc etc.
*dreams of the day when he can finally watch dusk and dawn in full smooth animation....nude.*
But ati does have a better FSAA on the 9800, but who cares? when i play a game i don't go and inspect the details, i'm playing to kick some ***.

From what I hear, the Radeon 9800 Pro is the best card on the market right now.

get the 9800 pro 128 mb. it's like $234 at newegg. It will run any of the current games without a problem. It will also run HL-2.
The FX line has problems with antistrophic filtering due to a DX9 "glitch" (Nvidia does not follow the normal filtering path like ATI)
If you like anti aliasing and antistrophic filtering get teh 9800 pro.
if you want to run at 1600x1200 with infierior image quality get a 5900 ultra.
Now what amount of memory you get should depend on how ofter you upgrade your gfx card. If you buy one every year get teh 128mb if you be one every 2 years get teh 256mb. 512mb is just overkill for a current gpu.
Personally i'd get the 9800 pro.

they're both really good cards, just depends on how deep your pockets are, but the ati is definatly a better deal, if money is an issue.
