PSD's in Illustrator?

Can Illustrator open .psd files?

I'm havin some stickers made, and I need to be able to open the file in illustrator, I made it in photoshop, but I can't save as a AI file, so can it open, the .PSD file?

You cannot open a PSD file in AI, but you can place it into AI. Or if you save your PS file as an .eps Ai will open that, but as a placed file.

Illustrator 9 will open *.psd files as well as place them

Thank you I didn't know that. Still I avoid 9 if at all possible, because it is still too buggy.

You're welcome, if you haven't already, it really is worth installing the .01 & .02 updates for 9. They certainly fixed most of my problems.
