Type Tool is messed up?

I am having some problems with the type tool for some odd reason. the other night i was working on a layout and after slicing it up, the type tool would only type in caps? i cant figure this out at all. it doesnt matter what font it is nd the caps lock key is off. ive tried with it on, tried holding down shift, etc and nothing seems to fix it. i know it cant be bad font files because the fonts are fine on the rest of my system.

anyone who might know how to solve my problem please respond asap! thank you.

window--show character

in the window that pops up, you probably have the 'all caps' icon selected. Turn it off.

(near the bottom of that window , looks like 'TT'

try reinstalling maybe. did you try with more than one font? did you try in other image editing programs?

Some fonts are only caps, so maybe it was that?

Yup! Either what VP said, or its the font your using. If its a downloaded font then its more than likely only caps.
