OK!

make a circle fill it with black.

Select > Modifty contract about 8 pixels hit delete.
Now add a chrome layer style which can be found on the net.

er use PS.

Download the trial from www.adobe.com it's free..

I don't think you can do that stuff with illustrator. Correct me if i'm wrong.

You'll have to use the Gradient Mesh to manually create that effect and I'm almost sure that you'll also be working with several layers with different blend modes. It will take quite some time to make it... you should really use PS.

Yeah, as that isn't vector it probably doesn't belong in the vector forum
