MagicTheGathering: Scourge

i'm sure at least two or three of the community play magic and/or keep up with the novels. anyway, after legions, scourge comes into the big picture and all the race have their epic war, destroying akroma and phage. karona is born and everything is blissful to the eye of the inhabitant of Otaria, except kamahl, yadda yadda... but the question is, why is scourge so focused on dragons? i noticed that rorix bladewing is dead and serves the undead army... does he have something to do with the entire dragon consumption of this new set?

if it's explained in the novel, please tell me so i can rush out and buy it.

I'm not exactly sure of the specific story details, but dragons definitely play a core role in Scourge - from Rorix to the Day of Dragons to Dragonstorm to the beautiful Form of a Dragon. I think the basic idea is partly a re-focusing on creature, as well as slowing the tempo of the game in part via high CC spells. Also, dragons are cool. Occasionally Wizards does remember to make the game fun and themed as well as balanced and marketable - Scourge looks to be all four.
