how o I make such a texture

IN the following image if you look on the side of the bike it has the typical mecha anime dirty metal teture. I was wondering how I could make such a texture in Photoshop. Also how can I mahe the lines and shadows?

That image looks as if it was coloured on paper with some sort of felt pen and scanned in. As for doing it in Photoshop, I have no idea. You'd probably have to use gradients and air brushing...

Yeah If you want to have that style rendered through ps, you will need to do allot of the work manually, airbrush with a very light pressure.....and keep at er....

actually the image was done in Painter 6 and photoshop, but I gues th coloring is obviously a Painter feature. I dont suppose anyone know how to make anime mecha style metal textures? I am no longer asking the question in refrence to the above image.

same as you would do it in painter...

grab a paintbrush and paint... no magic or tricks, just skill....

oh yeah, and some talent and alot of practice...

A pen mouse helps

It's hard to do it with a regular mouse.
