IP Ads?

Does anyone know how to prevent IP ads from appearing on your desktop?

I've tried Norton, Pc-Cillin, but they both won't install on my computer. The built-in XP firewall seems to block the ads, but it screws up my other programs like ICQ, and MSN, so I can't use that.

Are there any other programs out there that can stop IP Ads?

Download Ad-Aware from www.downloads.com ... it takes away all adware and spyware.

if you mean those annyoning message ads go to right click my computer, mange, services and applications, services and look for messenger and disable it

I tried running Ad-Aware, but those messages still came up.

Then I used Killerbeex's method, and now the ads are gone.

turning messenger off is the best way to do it. Windows messenger is different than msn messenger, so dont worry about that.

I hate ZoneAlarm! I had it on my computer, and then it did something, and it blocked me away from my internet (and TF!) So then I couldn't get online, and it wouldn't let me uninstall it, so I had to go on my other computer download it, reinstall it on my computer, and try uninstalling it again, and it worked. But still I hate it.
