No, i don't think your getting a good review of rackshack honestly. I can tell you from experience and from reading that you can either get the best of them and the worst of them. Some people love em, some people hate em, it depends where your server ends up i suppose. ___________________ xAvia.Net -- The Ultimate Internet Network. prowebStatus: Offline!
i have past experience with RS........ had 1 server of my own 2 servers of proweb and been with many hosts using RS servers and all been briallint never had a problem......... rackshack dont supply servers managed so if your new you to managing servers you may want to get someone to go through setting up the server with you or just get someone to do it themselves without going through it wth you. id recommend RS 100% i dont think any other compnay comes close to matching their servers for the same price! - Chris ___________________ ProWebUK || Professional web services || www.ProWebUK.com if video games affected us as children, then we would all be running around in dark rooms, munching magical pills and dancing to repetitive music! xAviaStatus: Offline!
Now theres another good opinon, and im glad to say that after doing some new searching, im seeing more positive reviews then last time .. but there are still the bad ones. ___________________ xAvia.Net -- The Ultimate Internet Network. Course there are bad ones, and guess what servers they use? Celerons and Durons, lol. Durons are a little more stable, but not really. Rackshack's network powers out NAC in terms of GBPS, only thing that is better with NAC is the multiple peering, doesn't mean either one is more reliable, and NAC gets a bad wrap just as much as Rackshack. Personally, this community is hosted on a Rackshack server, and it runs brilliantly for the amount of MySQL processes between the three major sites on here, which are: TF, AbsoluteCross.com, and Spoono.com I've been thinking of getting their Dual Xeon package, which I think will be great. Your object will be this, if you are going to go with Rackshack, and you have no Linux administration experience, you're just going to have a hard time. Most of the people who send in bad reviews are people who do not take the time to properly maintain and make their machine efficient. ___________________ xAviaStatus: Offline!
