Liquisoft,

I have a perfectly legitimate copy of Photoshop 7 and I have it hang up on me also. It may be that he needs to reinstall it, which is what I have had to do countless times. I am running a state of the art system but it seems that does not matter when it comes to Photoshop crashing. However, I do know that an associate of mine has a pirated copy of Photoshop and he has less trouble than I do with it. Also, while I am as against pirated software as the next person it seems to me that some of you are way too quick to say that someone is using a hacked copy of whatever program that is the current subject. I do hope that someone is a little less jumpy next time and actually presents an answer instead of an accusation.

Regards,

Icee

well said, but my first thought was also that it was a pirated copy.

Besides, it seems unlikely that a full photoshop version would give an error message like

" cannot complete your request "
" program error "

unless he only paraphrased the error. xP

I have mine hang when im doing a lot of erasing or mass painting. It is really annoying me. It is not just that it hangs either half the time it, I get the blue screen of death. I mean I have two gigs of ddr 2700 ram and I allocated 70% of it to Photoshop when it is open and I have the temporary files on a different HD. You name it I tried, unfortunately. Well I hope no one else has the same problems.

Regards,

Icee

I get that error message all the time and I have a fully legal Photoshop 7. the error message is

"could not complete your request because of an program error"

but I only get this message on my laptop....
