Local Issues
Has there ever been a time where you stood up for your beleifs and a higher power had to crush your dreams?
Perfect example:
The city of Thunder Bay(my location) had opened a charity casino in 2000 to boost local tourism and finance.
The Trillium Foundation was born. The Trillium Foundation was gaining $100 000 000 000 from the casino`s profit in order to help those who had lost profit through the diverse effect of the local Casino. The Foundation was never registered, nor is there any previous history of it. The city council was using it towards their own personal game. > : (
Now this week, the city voted AGAINST providing financial assistance to the Regional Multicultural Youth Centre / Multicultural Association of NorthWestern Ontario.
The RMYC will be forced to close it`s doors this summer, due to underfunding and lack of financial assistance. A 16yr legacy.... gone with the wind. This sucks, because I spent 8yrs on the board of directors for the RMYC! I HATE OUR CITY COUNCIL!!!!
